Theme 2 (Day 2): Powering African DSI infrastructures through deeper policy discourse (1st African Congress on Digital Sequence Information, Infrastructure Development and Policy)
Focuses on powering up African Digital Sequence Information (DSI) infrastructures through deeper policy engagements.
Days 3-5: Practical-based, hands-on in-person workshops focusing on sample collections, bioinformatics, molecular biology and genome sequencing using several technology platforms but not limited to PacBio Hi-Fi, Illumina, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Oxford Nanopore Technologies, and MGI-Tech.
This hybrid workshop will be coordinated from (and held at) the University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Rivers State, Nigeria, West Africa, and virtually through Zoom. It will also be live-streamed on the AfricaBP YouTube and X channels.
