With a background in ecology, Dr Andras joins us with more than 20 years experience in research, academia, NHS and the charity sector.
Alina’s previous positions include: Question Bank Manager, Royal College of Surgeons; Research Programme Manager and Practice Placement Quality Administrator, Keele University; Health Services Researcher (Systematic Reviewer) and Clinical Trial Coordinator, in the NHS.
More recently, Alina held positions as Project Coordinator and Research Grants Administrator within the University of Edinburgh.
With a Doctorate in Neuroscience from the University of Manchester, Alina also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Newcastle Business School, Newcastle University and an M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Manchester University.
Away from the office, Alina enjoys baking, traditional crafts and spending time in the outdoors.
Alina will take up the position from 9th April 2026.

The Centre Operations Manager oversees the administrative, financial and operational framework of CTLGH and supports the collaborative work between our strategic partners – the Roslin Institute, Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC), and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).
