This short video clip, Better Cows Better Grades, and the accompanying story, commissioned by our main funder the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, illustrates the impact our selective breeding work is having on milk production in Kenya. Milk is known as ‘White Gold’ in Africa. The additional income generated by more productive cows is helping smallholder farmers, such as Josephine Kimonyi, pay for their children’s education.
